June 27th – July 3rd 2011 - This Year’s Festival is in Portscach, Lake Worthersee, Austria …yeah, it’s a mouthful to pronounce, but it will be an absolutely incredible event, I can assure you of that. The BEST and most talented airbrush and body painting artists from around the world will be there body painting some of the most beautiful, sexy looking woman in the world. The event is always well attended and also a cultural buffet of things to do. The organizers keep adding new and different events to give festival goers different things to do. The registration of artists for the World Bodypainting Festival is slowly coming to the end. We are very proud to welcome artists from all around the world. Bodypainters from 42 nations have been registered.

The Location of the 2011 World Body Painting Festival:

The new festival location is quite central and easy to arrive by car, train or plane. The new location is directly at the lake Wörthersee and offers the option to arrive by ferry from piers around the lake. The landing pier is "Landspitz" in Pörtschach, located in the south part of "Bodypaint City". There are 5 daily services in both directions (east to Klagenfurt and west to Velden).

Milk & Sugar at the World Body Painting Festival - The fantastic music program at the World Body Painting Festival 2011 is finally confirmed. As one of the last highlights we are able to announce the producers "Milk & Sugar" for the first main day at the festival. They will perform with their world hits "Let The Sun Shine", "Higher And Higher", "Love Is In The Air" and the latest release "Hey Nah Neh Nah" (Milk & Sugar vs. Vaya con Dios).

Meade is an installation artist based in the Washington, DC area. Her innovative use of paint on the three dimensional surfaces of found objects, live models, and architectural spaces has been incorporated into a series of installations that create a perceptual shift in how we experience and interpret spatial relationships.

this is what she feels:
"I paint representational portraits directly on top of the people I am representing. The models are transformed into embodiments of the artist's interpretation of their essence. When captured on film, the living, breathing people underneath the paint disappear, overshadowed by the masks of themselves."

It’s that time of year again in Key West, Florida! Each year during Fantasy Fest beautiful, sexy, almost naked women, along with many creative and talented air brush design artists come to the city during the week long adult themed costume party that culminates with a huge parade on the festival ending Saturday night. Everyday Body Painting Artists can be seen setting up their studio booths on the streets and in different shops, sidewalk cafes, and bars, painting the beautiful bodies of women with exotic art designs. Some women get a different air brushed design done everyday and walk the streets showing off their body art..

Thailand Body Painting Festival 2011

Koh Samui, Thailand’s paradise island resort, aims to compete as a venue for top international body painting competitions, such as the International Body Painting Festival in Germany, World Body Painting Festival in Austria and the Canadian Body Painting Festival.

The event is expected to attract both local and international tourists, and stimulate interest in Thai art. It will bring together artists and models from countries including Austria, Germany, Romania, South Korea, Spain, Switzerland, the UK, the US and Thailand. Nude body painting has now become popular among many of the top models who are shaped to kill. Nearly every naked female model’s body will look better in a creative sexy body paint design but not every model has a body like a goddess. Nude body painting is one way the media can have models pose nude and offend less than half the people they normally offend. As more and more women choose body paint designs to express their feminine side more and more men will take up the air brushed art in support of this form of expression.

Key West, Florida has one of the best body painting competitions around. Each year during Fantasy Fest it’s held on the waterfront overlooking the scenic Key West harbor. Beautiful, sexy women and creative and talented body painting artists come to the city during the week long adult themed costume party that culminates with a huge parade on the closing Saturday night.

Everyday during the week long event Body Painting Artists can be seen setting up their painting booths on the streets and painting the bodies of very sexy women with various exotic body art designs. Some woman get a different body painted design everyday and walk the streets showing off their body art as they await the real competition to begin at the Friday evening Living Arts Body Painting Contest.

Though this art form has been around for centuries, many people haven’t tuned-in to this creative outlet. Some people claim that body painting is actually the oldest art form (Considering that people were painting their body’s pre-anno domini. Just think of early century Egyptians). And, with adult body painting companies and artist all around the globe, one would probably have little difficulty finding an artist close by.

Adult body painting is an art that uniquely transforms your everyday skin into a beautiful picturesque scene or life form. How? Glad you asked. By using safe, FDA approved make-up, oils, and other various paints and applying it directly to your skin. Any part of your skin. Oh yes, that’s right, any part. Body painting artists are extremely professional and willing to cover any part of your body that you so desire, from head to toe. Or, if you can’t make your mind up on which body part to paint, you can have your entire body brushed with a plethora of colors that completely disguises the real you underneath. Unless, of course, you really are Smokey the Bear. By method of airbrushing, painting, and drawing, your body can soon be entirely transformed into your fantasy.

Depending on the piece of art you choose, the process can take from a few minutes to several hours. The Hanging Gardens weren’t grown in fifteen minutes and either is the mastery of adult body painting when given the task of turning you into a fire-breathing dragon.

However, don’t misunderstand. Not all body painting means having to get nude. In fact, any small portion of your skin can be painted into a beautiful piece. For instance, many people who want to see what a tattoo would look like on the arm, hand, foot, shoulder, neck, or elsewhere often choose to have their body painted first to make sure they will like it for the rest of their lives. Others just appreciate the art and have paintings done on parts of their body for display or to be kept private. Whatever the case may be, there really is not a limit to what a person can have painted on their body. From a butterfly, to a Dragon, a star pattern, or a floral display, or anything you may choose can be body painted by the right artist.

Body painting typically will last for a couple of days and can easily be removed. Because body painting is not permanent, you have the option to become many things over the course of time. The only thing that should be holding you up from getting painted is your wildest imagination and choosing what you want to be next!

Gazing at the photograph, it's easy to become mesmerized by the tiger's green eyes — so penetrating, intense and realistic. But look a little closer and you'll notice something else: The eyes are painted on the backs of a pair of nude models. And the tiger's snout? It's the expertly shaded derriere of a third!

"The most endangered tiger in the world is the South China Tiger," Craig Tracy, the fine art body painter who created the image, tells us. "There are less than 100 left in the world."

The majestic beast — thought to be the ancestor of all tigers — is considered "almost extinct"; a South China Tiger has not been spotted in the wild for 25 years, according to the World Wildlife Federation.

Tracy, a New Orleans-based artist who creates trompe l'oeil paintings employing fine art imagery and the nude form, was asked to paint the animal in a bid by Li Quan.
For Tracy, painting his favorite animal wasn't a stretch. "I'd just been to China for the first time in October doing body painting, so I felt a connection," he says.

After 24 hours of work, he transformed the three models into the wild animal. "I painted the backdrop the night before, literally finishing at five in the morning," says Tracy. "Slept for two hours, woke up, had breakfast, and by that time, the models were arriving in my studio."
